Frankston Generator FAQs

Where do I enter the event?

Entry is via the FAC foyer, 27 Davey St Frankston.

Can I bring my dog/pet into the event?

No. Animals are not permitted at the event. Service animals are welcome.

Does this event offer Companion Card tickets?

Yes. This is available via the FAC box office when purchasing your ticket/s.

Can I take photos/film video?

Yes. Please tag @southsidefestival and use the #southsidefestival when you post!

Are there any accessibility considerations I need to be aware of?

After descending from the FAC foyer, the experience will have patrons move through several levels of the FAC Carpark. When moving between the car park levels, patrons will be able to choose to move up the vehicle ramp, use the pedestrian stairs or transition back in the lift.

The vehicle ramp does have an incline which some patrons may not feel comfortable navigating. If patrons are unable to access Level 1 upper, there are several viewing points positioned on Level 1 and Level 2 of the FAC Carpark.

Are there food and drinks available to purchase?

The FAC bar may not be open for all sessions/dates. You can call box office on the day you are attending to check.

There are so many fantastic restaurants and bars around the Arts Centre Precinct. Head to discoverfrankston.com to explore your fantastic dining and bar options.

Can I bring food and drinks into the event (including alcohol beverages purchased from the FAC bar)?

Water is permitted in the installation, all other food and beverage is unable to be brought in.

Is the event smoke free?

Yes. Smoking and alcohol are not permitted at the event.

Where can I park?

As the event is taking place in the FAC carpark, parking in the FAC carpark will be very limited. Please refer to the map below for alternatives.

Can I take public transport to the event?

Yes, we encourage you to take public transport where possible. Head to www.ptv.vic.gov.au to plan your journey.

Do you offer discounts for large group bookings?

No.

Can I purchase tickets at the door?

Subject to availability. If the event session is not sold out there will be EFT and cash payment options to purchase tickets.

What level of supervision do my children need?

All children under 10 years old need to be in the constant supervision of a parent or guardian.

Do you offer a low sensory session?

Yes, this is on Saturday 14 May.

How will the session be modified during the low-sensory session?

The low sensory session will feature:

  • No soundtrack
  • Less flashing lights
  • Less intense light changes
  • higher levels of house lighting so there is less contrast

Can I touch the installations?

Yes, elements of the installation are intended to be interacted with. Signage and staff will let you know.

How long is each session?

The sessions are self-guided, so there is no time limit (outside of our opening hours). On average you can expect to spend 45 minutes wandering through the event.

Where are the toilets and parent facilities?

Toilets and parent facilities are located on Level 4 in the FAC foyer. During Frankston Library opening hours, there are additional facilities available inside the Library. 

Is there an ATM at the venue?

No. There is no ATM in the Frankston Arts Precinct.
