It’s time to get on your phone while you’re out and about in Frankston. Melbourne Digital Artist LuXvr presents the Electric Garden exclusive for the Southside festival. This free event invites you to experience Frankston’s public spaces where art meets technology in the Metaverse.

Within walking distance of the Frankston Arts Centre you will find eleven geo-located metaverse sites installed with AR augmented reality virtual galleries. At each site your phone becomes a viewing portal into each experience. Here you will be immersed amongst site specific animated digital sculptures created by LuXvr along with artworks by members of the Frankston community.

To get there charge up your phone, get your walking boots on, download and connect the free app OVR on your smart phone, scan the QR code for the Electric Garden map and user instructions for using the app.

Artist Details - Artwell

‘Free to Feel’

Artwell is a community Arts Program for people with, and in recovery from mental health illness or issues. The program aims to promote Mental Health Wellness through Arts Practice, including guided Therapeutic arts processes, and the opportunity for interactive engagement with others. This selection of art-works are the culmination of individual, experiential art therapy inquiry processes into core feelings and emotions. During the process, participants have inquired into their experience, allowing the process to inform them about self, via creativity, somatic experiencing, i.e., (embodied felt-sense of things) and, personal representations of what it is they have come to know.

Artist Details - BAM Arts Inc.

"Hot Chips Studio" is the visual art programme offered at Bam Arts Inc.  We provide a welcoming and accessible creative space at our Frankston studio for people with disabilities to discover their unique way of expression through the mediums of painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, costume design, photography and embroidery.

Every artist has their own style and we have proudly entered their work in a number of local exhibitions.

We are currently developing an online shop for our website, where our artists will be able to show case and sell some of their pieces.  Our major studio exhibition is held in December each year and celebrates International Day of People with a Disability.
