Connect. Listen. Learn. Unjudge.

In the best sense of the word, the Human Library is a library of people and their experiences with prejudice. However, instead of a paperback book, actual people are on loan for conversations. The concept is about acknowledging and challenging the prejudice that we carry towards one another. The Human Library creates a safe space for conversation, where topics such as lifestyle, beliefs, disability, economic or health status, sexuality, age, neurodiversity, gender identity, mental health or life experience of discrimination, can be openly addressed without condemnation.

The people who will be the ‘Books’ have directly or indirectly been exposed to prejudice. At our Human Library, we invite open and frank conversations, to foster a sense of connection with your community.

You can’t judge a book by its cover – the same is true for humans. What you see, is very rarely the whole story of who that person is.
