BOOKINGS REQUIRED

A bespoke theatre experience inviting you behind the scenes and into the spotlight to investigate all the apologies that the world keeps offering — the famous, the obscure, the deeply personal, and those that begin every second email in our inboxes.

Sincere Apologies offers a unique experience that is awkward, funny, intimate, and strangely moving as the audience is transformed into a temporary community investigating how we say sorry.

Unlike any other theatre experience at Frankston Arts Centre; the audience will be asked to leave their expectations at the stage door as they become part of this unique story hand-picked for Season 2025 and the South Side Festival.

This is a work about how we say sorry, and how we really mean it. It is an interactive conversation-starter where participants will come together to move through collective regret, to a place where we might try to fix the parts of the world that are broken.

You may be invited to interact and participate, but only as much as you are comfortable to. Limited tickets are available for this interactive experience where you can (and should) expect the unexpected!

Join us after the show to keep the conversation going! Grab a drink from the bar and connect in a warm, welcoming space—where reflections, questions, and fresh perspectives are all part of the experience.

“Alternative Facts is an important company on the national stage, consistently delivering surprising, strikingly original and memorable theatre works that explore important contemporary issues.” - Tom Gutteridge, Monash University Performing Arts Centres

Alternative Facts creates theatre works of social relevance, aesthetic rigour and emotional impact – theatre designed to change the world, one person at a time. Under the leadership of theatre maker David Williams and producer Suzie Franke, the theatre of Alternative Facts explores contemporary social life in all its complexity, messiness, beauty, and strangeness.

Since 2017 Alternative Facts has partnered with the Pam McLean Centre to tour Grace Under Pressure to 12 hospitals across NSW, completed a 15-venue regional tour of Quiet Faith, and a 20-venue tour of Grace Under Pressure.

Alternative Facts produced the award-winning Grand Theft Theatre (by Pony Cam & David Williams), for Adelaide Festival 2024. Alternative Facts’ Grace Under Pressure (2020-2022) was hailed as ‘culture-changing’ in the health sector, and received powerful audience responses nationwide.
